ADT customer, Colleen Duffy, installed her ADT system in 2001 to protect against burglaries. In 2007, a service technician noticed that Colleen and her mother did not have a smoke detector/fire alarm system and strongly recommended adding it to their home alarm system. Fortunately, they did.

Called Away

Colleen was not home when her mother received an urgent phone call and had to rush out the door. Leaving a pot with ingredients cooking on the stove, it wasn't long before things started to burn. A Customer Care Representative received the fire alarm signal and after failing to reach anyone at the residence, notified the Fire Department.

Home Sweet Home

The Duffy's arrived home to find firefighters extinguishing the flames and smoke billowing from their home. Amazingly neither the house nor their personal belongings were seriously damaged. "ADT is the reason my home is still standing today. I am so grateful that we added that smoke detector/fire alarm monitoring system when we did," said Colleen.
