Change the Master Code on my keypad

How to change the Master Code on your keypad

 

ADT Command Panel

  1. Select the Tools icon.
  2. Enter Master User code.
  3. Select Users icon.
  4. To assign a User, or revise a User code, select the desired option then select Edit or Add new.
  5. Select Name and assign a personal name to this user. Select Save.

          *The default User description is displayed.

  1. Select User Code to assign a 4-digit code to this user.
  2. Assign 4-digit code to this User and select Save.
  3. Select the applicable Partitions for this User (if applicable).
  4. Select Authority Level (if applicable).
  5. Select Authority Level for this User (if applicable). Select Save.

 

Ademco, Honeywell, First Alert

  1. Enter 4-digit Master code _ _ _ _
  2. Press 8
  3. Press 0 2
  4. Enter new 4-digit Master code two times

 

DSC Classic Series (1550, 2550, 3000)

  1. Press * (asterisk key)
  2. Press 5
  3. Enter 4-digit Master code _ _ _ _
  4. Press 1
  5. Enter new 4-digit Master code
  6. Press # (pound key)

 

DSC Power Series (1555, 5010, 864, 1832, 1864, Envoy, Alexor, Neo)

  1. Press * (asterisk key)
  2. Press 5
  3. Enter 4-digit Master code _ _ _ _
  4. Press 4 0
  5. Enter new 4-digit Master code
  6. Press # (pound key)

 

GE Simon Systems 1, 2, and 3

  1. Open Panel (cover on keypad)
  2. Use red numbered keys and follow voice prompts
  3. Enter 4-digit Master Code _ _ _ _
  4. Press Add
  5. Press Access Code
  6. Panel will respond with "Master Code, press again for next access code or Done to select or Cancel to quit"
  7. Press Done
  8. Enter new 4-digit Master Code
  9. Panel will repeat code
  10. Close cover

 

GE Simon XT

  1. Scroll to System Programming, press Enter
  2. Enter 4-digit Master code, press Enter
  3. Scroll to Access Codes, press Enter
  4. Scroll to Master Code, press Enter
  5. The current value of the code will flash on the display
  6. Enter a new 4-digit Master code, press Enter
  7. Press Status repeatedly to exit

 

GE Simon XTi

  1. Press the gear icon
  2. Use the down arrow until System Programming is displayed and select
  3. Enter Master Code then select OK
  4. Select Access Codes and press on white field next to current code
  5. Enter the new Master Code
  6. Select Save and press Close to return to main menu

 

GE Allegro

  1. Press 8
  2. Enter Primary Code
  3. Press # (pound key)
  4. Press # (pound key) again to display current code
  5. Enter new Primary Code
  6. Press # (pound key) to accept
  7. Press * (asterisk key) until Exit is displayed and press # (pound key) to confirm

 

GE Concord

  1. Press 9
  2. Enter Master Code _ _ _ _
  3. Press * (asterisk key)
  4. Enter 0 2 0
  5. Enter new Master Code
  6. Press # (pound key)
  7. Press * (asterisk key)
  8. Press 7
  9. Press # (pound key)

 

GE Concord Express

  1. Press 9
  2. Enter Master Code
  3. Press 1 1 0
  4. Enter new 4-digit Master Code
  5. Press # (pound key)
  6. Press * (asterisk key)
  7. Press 4
  8. Press # (pound key)

 

Paradox Esprit 718, 728, 738, 748

  1. Press Enter
  2. Enter Master Code
  3. Press 0 1
  4. Enter new Master Code
  5. Press Enter

  1. Press Enter
  2. Enter Master Code
  3. Enter 3-digit position number
  4. Enter new four to six digit Master Code
  5. Press Clear to exit

 

2GIG Go!Control

  1. Select Security, Menu, then Toolbox
  2. Enter Master Code
  3. Select user Management, then Master User
  4. Select Change Pin
  5. Enter new Master Code and press OK
  6. Enter new Master Code again and press OK

 

Lynx 5100

  1. Scroll to page two of the Home Screen
  2. Select Tools
  3. Enter 4-digit Master Code
  4. Select Users
  5. Select "Master"
  6. Enter new Master Code
  7. Press Save
